If you have not lost power to anything else in the dash like radio or 12 volt plug etc I would suggest checking this fuse in the engine compartment.

It is behind the air filter.
It is Fuse #23 that powers your fan in AC and heating system.

We had the same problem with the the dash fan not working last December on our 2016 30DS four months after purchased. A serious issue since It controls windshield defrost as well as heat and a/c. After swapping the fan control on dash and fuses they found a bad diode located in the wiring..

The dash fan works on my 2017 30'FR3, but it blows hot in summer and cold in winter (basically it only blows outside temp) selector doesn't change to defroster/ floor/etc. Any ideas ?

The problem with our 2016 FR3 30DS was a bad diode in a wire buried under the dash from the fuse box to the blower motor. They tried several things including swapping the dash heater controls with a new unit on the dealers lot before finding the issue. I would suggest you call the FR3 warranty contacts (shown below) at Forest River which have been very helpful in root causing several issues we have experienced. Our fan issue surfaced after only 2,500 miles over the Christmas Holidays when it was difficult getting service at the Dealer or Forest River because so many people were on vacation. Cel Lopez sent electrical diagrams through my contacting him to the dealer to help resolve the issue. Since then I have contacted both Cel and Chris to help solve other problems. Good luck !

Jim..
Thanks for the info.. I think my problem is a little different than yours, as my fan blows, but only ambient air... the hot/cold control and directional knobs don't seem to do anything.. the fan speed control works OK .. thanks for the lead tho' I'll try to contact Cel.

Just found out (by accident) that turning on my headlights resulted in my heater and distribution selector switches to work ! No kidding !! I turned off the headlights and the switches returned to previous mode. Turned lights on again and they worked ! SOMEBODY AT FOREST RIVER OBVIOUSLY MISWIRED SOMETHING !!! I hope this is not an indication of their quality control or lack of it !!

I still have not found why fan motor won't work even though I jumped power to motor and it works. fuses are all good, but no power to switch.
what I did find was when I cleaned the house battery posts there are a bunch wire connect to positive side, after cleaning the blend door opened and let fresh air in but fan still won't come on. ANY idea where this diode is??

The only diode in the a/c system is the compressor clutch diode that has no effect on the blower.....

Also, the house batteries are not involved with the operation of the chassis A/C.

How did you check "no power to switch"?

The link below may be a "thread" for you to follow....

Call FR3 warranty 574-206-7600, be prepared with your VIN# and they can tell you exactly where to the fuse in your unit.

Ok after six months of searching I have found a fuse in a black box under dash just left and above emergency brake, the black box was screwed to dash. we found one leg of the fuse holder loose and were able to crimp it and replace fuse. All's well now
