Discoloration of Flooring in 2019 Forest River F3

I am looking for help in making a decision. The Question I have is the factory has agreed to replace the flooring in my 2019 Forest River F3 30 DS and was I wondering how they do it. Do they remove the entire old flooring which I would think you have to strip off anything that sits on top of it or do they just cut the old flooring out as close to anything that is attached like the cabinets, the toilet, the bathroom Shower Pan, the driver and passenger seats, also what about the flooring under the slide outs, how do they replace that ? I just don’t want more problems with anything because of the flooring being replaced. Is it really worth it is what I guess I’m asking! Any Suggestions or has anyone else experienced this problem? Thanks

If the factory has offered to replace the flooring at the factory, do it. Everything I've read on this forum gives excellent ratings to repairs done at the factory.

I'm glad that they are offering to fix yours! They told me that ours was not installed by them but by the dealership. I can't understand why they would ship out an rv without the floor installed already. Sounds bizarre to me. Anyway, that was the reason I was given for denial of replacement. It sucks for us because the dealership is in WA and we are in CO. So I guess we'll just have to live with it. Doesn't give us good feelings though.

My 2015 FR Wildcat Maxx was supposedly built with a single piece of vinyl flooring going down over the whole base platform prior to anything else. If that's still how they build them I can't imagine all the cabinets, shower, etc. coming out for a total "like new" replacement. Even at the factory I'm betting (without any factual knowledge) that the replacement floor will be pieced-in around the cabinets, etc.

I was not aware that the factory would send out an incomplete unit such as flooring. It’s the first thing laid down. Your unit was factory new??? Not used.

I had a similar situation. They used 1/4 round trim around all fixtures. You just need to ask them what process they will use.

Our 2019 33DS had the same flooring problem. I called and spoke to someone in the factory warranty department - super helpful. They sent the replacement flooring to the dealer and they installed it. Took a while - they had the RV for maybe 6 weeks, but who knows how much time they actually spent working on it!

I had the concern about whether they would take out the slides, cabinets etc. or just cut around things. They explained that they simply remove the lowest trim, cut around the cabinets and reinstall the trim. In the end it looked fine. I can't comment on longevity as we decided to trade for a different RV that better fit our family.

One very positive thing that came of the floor replacement was that the dealer discovered that there had been a leak from one of the awning mountings, and the subfloor had started to rot. We had never had an RV before, and just assumed that the floor was a bit soft in a couple of places due to the way the frame mounts worked, but it was the wood rotting. They replaced it under warranty.
