Disconnecting steps

Hi we have a 2015 FR3 30DS. I want to disconnect the automatic steps so we can install wood steps at our summer campground. Has anyone done this? Reconnect when we leave in the fall. Thank you

I've installed a switch (actually two in series to stop accidents) that force the stairs in regardless of the door/screen position. It's just a jumper across the magnet switch on the door jamb. But easier, just disconnect the cable harness to the stairs (viewed under the stairs) when they are in. The green chassis ground wire can just stay in place.
