Door Lock
I decided to replace the door lock with a lock from RVLOCKS.com The reason I replaced it, is I was having trouble with the factory installed lock where sometimes it would not lock and a couple of times it would not unlock while we were inside. When I took the screws off the back plate plastic parts fell out of the lock. There is a youtube about fixing this problem but I decided to replace the entire lock. The pictures are the broken parts that fell out and the replaced door lock.

Same here, I replaced mine only because I wanted an RVLock, but upon taking the original lock out plastic jiggly bits fell out all over the place

I did have to trim the bottom edge so the new lock would fit and align properly. The hardest part was getting the two lock post to line up with the handles used to turn them. Other than that it was fairly easy.

What year/model did you install on? I have a 2018 32DS that I'm looking to put a keyless lock on but wasn't sure if the RV Lock would work.

I have a 2017 32DS and purchased a right side door lock. The way to tell if you need a left side or right side is, stand outside the RV and look at the door. If the hinges are on the right side you need a right side door latch.

Installed mine took longer than expected, only because of the cutout opening on the FR3 when you removed the original lock was not 100% plug an play fit with the RVLock.
I have to shave about 1/8th of an inch of material to allow the RVLock to fit, then aother 1/8th of an inch at the deadbolt door plate on the trim. I dont blame RVLock. A little with FR with their measure once cut once mentality. Wasn't too hard just took longer than 10Min. (about 45 min from unbox to program)

Interested in knowing what you used to shave the door material with and what did you use to shave the metal door plate? On the door material was it the inside of the door or the outside?

I purchased an oscillating multi tool from Harbor Freight tools and a straight blade.

I bought a couple of Carbide Rotary File Cutting Burs Tools
Use it in my drill, I felt that way I could control how much or little material I needed to cut away. Using anything bigger made me nervous, I could slowly whittle away material. Used it on both the door and metal jam
