I pulled down the plastic in the bedroom yesterday and found power. I'll check the bathroom later on. I might install one in both locations eh

Just a note here, the wires under the plastic trim around the bedroom roof vent are white and brown. The Brown is POSITIVE and the white is negative.
Brown wire +
White wire -

Sorry for the delay in answering your question I've been out of range for few days in Death Valley. I have a 2015 30DS which was manufactured in April 2014. I didn't see my wiring as the dealer did my mods before I took delivery. It looks like you got your wiring color answer already though.

Wayne and Sherry, I'll be doing the same project with a Vortex fan. I have a 2015 so I expect it to be pre-wired like yours.

Do the wires terminate at the vent so I can use wire nuts to attach the fan's pig tails? Or do the wires just run along the side of the opening so I need to pick up some wire taps like Ford Idaho described?

X3, the bathroom is where you need it. You don't have to have it on when you flush, it does have an On-Off switch.

You guys must use your fantastic and a lot different than I do. I use it to draw air in the other windows to draw cool air in. Normally my bathroom door is closed so that doesn't leave a path to the other windows to draw cool air in.
I think I read that you have multiple fans in your RV.
What is the main purpose of your fans?
When the dealers put only one fan in standard, I don't think they typically put it in the bathroom.

It is typically in the bathroom more often then not.

As I said before I open a window in the rear of camper and draw it the the front bedroom fan I installed

Almost every camper I've seen has a 3-4 inch gap at the bottom of the bathroom door.
Not sure of the reason but this may be one.

I'm having two fantastic fans in stalled this week at CW. One in the main living space and the other in the bathroom. First coach I've owned that didn't have at least one fan in the bathroom.

2012 Solera. Dimensions for fantastic fan. I measured the existing fan in the dinette area and I get an outside dimension for the frame of 16in square. The inside, the size of the fan is 13 in. square. The Fantastic fan at Camping World is 14 inches.

If you have replaced the fan in the dining area -- is this the right fan? Why are my measurements not matching up?

Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Fantastic fan

Installed a Hengs vortex insert from inside. Less complex and didn't have to get on the roof. $70 at PPL. You remove the crank handle and screen. Then insert the fan from inside and use he screw holes to mount it. Gears line up and a hand crank is replaced with a turn knob handle.

Push on. Push off. No fancy thermostat. Or motorized hood riser. Not reversible. No rain sensor. But guess what? In the bathroom I don't need all those bells and whistles. Wired into the light fixture.

There are two models. One with speed control and one without. I bought two more and will be installing in the bedroom and kitchen tis week.
