FR3 30DS Grill Screen

Does anyone know where you can get a front grill screen to install on my 2015?.... I see the 2016 comes with them but my15 did not.
I'm just trying to keep the bugs and birds out of the radiator and engine compartment.

My 2016 30DS did not come with any grill guard. I went to Menard and bought 1/4 screen and black wire ties for outdoor use cut it to size and painted it black. I started instilling it tonight looks pretty good so far.

I look at the Web site and it does show a grill screen it also some other features that is not on mine so either mine is not a 2016 or they made some changes mid year or they are options it is what it is.

I picked up my 2016 in June and it has one. Seems like an obvious addition that should have been installed long ago.

I have a 15 28DS and have the same problem. I have contacted FR and was told that the grill screen for the 2016 models will not retrofit the 2015 models....I to am looking for a solution BUT I live in the middle of the desert and air flow is very important. It looks like we have 4 radiators stacked in front of each other. I would live to see some mounting ideas if anyone has fixed the issue. Thanks, Barry

Homemade bug screen

I bought some window screening and a grommet kit and made a two piece screen.

I hooked together with cable ties and it has worked fine.

I have noticed no rise in engine temp after installation.

A very inexpensive fix.

Good luck

How/where did you attach the screen to?

Went to Home Depot and bought 2 dog screen door guards. They're plenty big enough to cut to size.
