FR3 32DS Small headlights (2017)
Info on the orig headlights installed by FR
They are the KAPER II brand.
I am replacing the H9 bulbs with brighter H9 bulbs with ballast from KENSUN.
I will post info on the install after i receive them later this week.

Look up www.kensun.com
On the site look up by. "Size"
which is H9 . That will take you to the page with the H9 HID conversion kit with slim ballast. You can pick color choices and I chose 5000 k ( pure white )
I hope these work to give more night time light . They also give a 45 day return policy.

After I install the new bulbs, I will post a report on my opinion of the modifications
I think I will only install one at first and test it out against my building wall at work to see what the difference is.

Kentucky Bob......
A man who thinks the same as me....that could be scary.
But, the idea of changing out just one headlight at a time and comparing brightness and focus side by side....one at a time....perfect.
And pictures would be great too.

I will install one and wait till dark at the shops parking lot and compare the 2 different lights. I will take pictures and report the success or failure.

Also very interested in the outcome here
We recently purchased a 2018 FR3 30DS and I too am unimpressed with the night time coverage of the small headlights. Very much look forward to seeing the outcome, as I believe our lights are the same as yours ... and this looks like a relatively simple upgrade if the outcome is good.

I just installed one new HID light and WOW !!!!! There is no comparison between the old light and the new light.
It is sooooo much brighter. Now I have to wait till it is dark to see how much of a beam it projects.
I hope it is not too bright for oncoming cars. I really don’t think it will be though, because I have not made any new adjustments to the assembly ( I only removed the old bulb and replaced it with the new HID bulb & ballast)
I still have one if the crummy headlight bulbs installed so I can compare the difference. I will post pictures if I can remember how to do it

Ok , it is dark and I am very pleased with the new headlights. I only have one installed now but I can tell it is much brighter. I took pictures but they will not show much if I post them. I will install the other light and check them out to see if they are annoying to me in my car as I face it ( simulating highway driving)

When my son has time next week, we will check them out with the FR3 on my large parking lot and my car facing it just like on a two way road to see if they are too bright, or need re aiming
The pic with my RV shows the new light on the passenger side and the original light on the drivers side. Zoom in on the picture to see the difference in brightness even in the early evening hours.
The other picture was taken as I had my back against the front of the motorhome and looking out towards a building about 50-60 feet away. The light shining on the right is the new light and the light in the left is the orig light.
Sorry the pictures don’t give a good idea of the brightness of the new light.
Sorry pictures are upside down.

Headlight upgrade report
Just checked out the headlights and they are GREAT !!!
I just need to resin both of them lower so I don’t blind a small car in front of me when I am driving with the low beams on. The high beams are amazing.
