FR3 Fresh Water Drain

Upgraded from a Gray Wolf TT to a 2021 FR3 30DS. The dealer filled the fresh water tank to test that all faucets. Now that I have it at home, I want to drain the fresh water tank. In my old rig I just had turn a T connection. I looked at the low point compartment which I noticed the red and blue tube under the RV. I did noticed a 3 foot hose with a cap on the end with a T connector inside the compartment. I pulled the hose out and removed the end cap and turned the valve but no water came out. Don’t know if I’m doing something wrong or looking at the wrong thing or place. Any suggestion or ideas? Thanks in advance.

On my FR3 the fresh water drain is located beside the low point drain behind the right rear tire. There are two drain tubes one for low point drain and the other will drain the fresh water tank. The hose you found in the compartment is more than likely the tube you will use to winterize your RV.

The hose and cap inside the compartment are for pumping in antifreeze.

The low point water drains are below that compartment, underneath the camper. There are two capped hoses, one is from the fresh water tank, the other from the plumbing system (feeds the faucets). There is a third uncapped hose, the fresh water tank overflow.

Pull both of the capped ones and let them drain. After they drain, turn the three valves next to the water heater to bypass.

Put the caps back on under the camper and use water pump and the hose inside the compartment to suck antifreeze into the system, it will not go into the fresh water tank. It will fill the lines, so open each faucet in turn until you see antifreeze coming out.

Tada!

Just a note to the previous post #3:
Set the water heater valves to the winterize position before you open the low point drain. Crud (calcium) from the water heater will get into your plumbing lines if you open the low point drain without first doing this and clogging will eventually occur. Drain your water heater from the anode rod port. There is only one low point drain for the hot and cold plumbing. The water heater, when in bypass for winterizing, will allow the hot water lines to drain along with the cold water lines through that single low point drain.

Thanks for the quick response. I looked under and only see 2 hoses red and blue.
My question is do I take cap off the blue? Click image for larger version

If you’re draining the entire water system of your rig, take the cap off both hoses.
Open all the taps throughout the rig to reduce press, and the system will drain out those hoses.

Thanks everyone for your assistance and knowledge on the drain system. I removed the cover that allowed me to get a good look at all the hoses and noticed that the red hose is the lowest drain point for the fresh water tank. I removed the cap on red hose under the RV like you guys suggested and wala! All the water went bye bye.
