FR3 headlight replacement.

The techs at the rally replaced headlights with another ford truck. Anyone know the part number and where to purchase them?

Everyone should contact FR3 and ask for the headlight replacements. Mine is out of warranty but they provided replacements free. Contact Travis Bird or Melvin Williams, mewilliams@forestriverinc.com. Be nice, but tell them what came with the units, before 2016 are not adequate for driving at night.

You do loose the LED halo's, but you can see to drive at night.

Here is the information on the box.

FYI, the headlight design is from GM Silverado not Ford.

I emailed him yesterday, he quickly responded that he was forwarding my email to another representative. I got a prompt email saying the parts would shipped out today.

FR3 headlight replacement

I emailed Mel Williams. He is NOT the guy to contact on the headlight problem. He forwarded my note to Travis Bird and told me the correct contacts are:

Kevin Stratton – kstratton@forestriverinc.com (East of the Mississippi) OR Travis Bird tbird@forestriverinc.com (west of the Mississippi)

Mel Williams is the Manager of Customer Relations. I could not get Travis to move on several items for over 8 months and three months after the warranty expired. Local Dealers were also of no help and the purchasing dealer refused to work with FR anymore.

So Mr. Williams was involved as the CEO's speech to the FROG group in August stated, customer satisfaction is FR's number one priority. As a Customer I was not feeling the love so to speak.

Mr. Williams helped get the wheels turning and the issues are now being resolved.

Hopefully Mr. Bird will help you quickly to get your issues resolved.

I don't drive at night so I'm not sure if my headlights are a problem. They are on an early 2016 FR3 30DS that has LED Halos. Do all that have LED halos have the low illumination problem? If you know it might save me a trip to storage to check them out. Thanks!

Spoke with Travis today, he said forest river will cover part of cost now so they will only cost a couple of hundred dollars out of pocket. Plus you pay shipping. I guess I will go with not driving at night.

I was offered $307.00 plus shipping!! Not very customer focused nor very fair. I hope they reconsider, especially a safety item.

If you think you have uncovered a safety defect, then you should report it to NHTSA here: https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/ivoq/

Listen if you buy them save your receipt, so when they are recalled you can be reimbursed. They obviously know the original FR3 lights are no good. They are most likely not even DOT approved.

No response on my reconsider request. Yet they will replace them at the Goshen Rally. Very poor.....

Can somebody please explain the whole issue with the head lights because I have a
FR3 30DS a 2015 I got back in February. I have the LED Halo's around the main headlight, and the first time I drove at night I was alarmed with how little light was produced, so now I always drive with the fog lights on at night thank goodness for the fog lights. So what can be done?
