Here’s the speaker system I have installed in place if the stock speakers that came with our unit. Awesome improvement in sound quality. Not sure it qualifies being heard by just you and not others....these rigs are not cars!

It was all plug and play, super easy.. I got the splitter “Y-Harness” on eBay and the switch and wire harness on Amazon.

Today I have pictures of the original back cabinet now with a shelf.

I removed about a dozen screws around sides, top & one in the bottom of the cabinet.

Attachment 184496

I ripped a Rubbermaid Laminate 11.8-in D x 47.8-in L x 0.625-in W Cherry Shelf Board from Lowes down to 1x6x39.

Attachment 184497

The finished cabinet back on the wall with a shelf.

I put a shelf in that back cabinet without taking it off the wall

No, kenandterry have a 2010 Georgetown 330TS.

On my FR3, I installed Jl Audio C2-690tx 6x9-Inch 3 Way Speakers.

First I measured to make sure 6x9s speakers would fit.

I first was able to cut an oval hole with a speaker template. I reach through the hole to put a block of wood in the back to mount a coat hook. I then slide the speaker through the hole to mount on the back of the wallboard with speaker covers on the frontside.

After with 6x9s speakers were installed.

The sound is clearer than the OEM speakers. Looks good and sounds great with coat hooks as a bonus.

I think if I had used 1/4 plywood, I could have bent the shelf to get it in.

I added an Auto Transfer switch to mine. My old RV had one and I got tired of remembering to plug in cord so I could just fire the generator up when driving or at home for a second. I posted a quick on YouTube on the install.

I also recently added a 2nd AC in the back bedroom. I didn’t change the coach from 30amp to 50 amp just run one AC at a time. The new AC is a high efficiency AC and you can run two of them on 30amps and it is quieter then the original so when I need to replace the original I’ll get a HE model and be able to run them both.

USB Power Mod

Replaced the right side power input in the cab with a 5amp USB charger and power on/off switch, also replaced the blown 7.5 amp fuses with resettable fuses.

570W Solar System

Hey guys, so I own a solar company for a long time and always wanted to put some panels on my roof. Last Friday I finally did it and let me tell you I love it. This FR3 modules come with bear minimum hardware. No transfer switch, no inverters and non of the good stuff and for me that means constant improvements are necessary.
So last Friday I finished phase one of this project and that was installing 2 Solarworld Black on Black 285W solar modules with Rover 60A charge controller with Bluetooth and Midnight Solar bracker box. Next step will be to install 2 transfer switches and a 4,000 or 6,000 watt Aims inverter. I have attached some photos. If anyone is doing this project and has some questions just ask.

Good looking installation. I also have a couple panels to mount on my FR3 and in the same location. My question, did you mount into the roof trusses or just anywhere on the roof and what type of screw did you use.

Thanks

Only on the trusses anything else will not hold. I used residential solar mounting by SolaRack. Installed 3 L-Foots per rail, ea panel has 2 rails so total 12 roof penetrations.
This panels are not going anywhere.

More stuff

All wood work removable with no screws into rv. Just a pressure fit. For dash I added a small piece of metal that fits into the seams. I also made the seats 2” shorter which is comfortable. Added a bunch of shelves. The one under the front bed is not a head banger. Removable when we want to use the bed.

What size pipe did you use on the inside of the seat posts?

I think it was 2 7/8 outside but I had to grind it and sand it just a little. Swatted it in with a hammer and drilled and tapped 4 bolts. There is no play in the post and works great. I started at 1 3/4 by the time I had it straight it’s was about a 2” cut. Feals great and the window is in the centre of the view. Also the seat turn with less hassle and the back reclines in the backward position. Took about 1/2 a day to do both. Have fun

We took out the dinette... it was just a big waste of space for us.. we always eat outside .. but also bought a small adjustable table for the coffee table/ dinner table for the couch ...we can also sit to new bar !
We took the dinette out but saved the benches ! Then we took the benches and stacked them on top of each other under the window.... we knocked out the square spaces that would have been under our feet... and picked up two large doors , sanded them and varnish and used the doors side way .Each door opens to two huge spaces!

We picked up a butcher block table top at ikea.

Put in a new microwave that is also a convection oven happy me

I also took down those huge cornices and put in some faux Roman blinds...

Excuse the wallpaper that’s not staying lol hahah
