FR3 Roof

I own a 2017 32DS, on my last trip I ended up with waves, not bubbles, in my roof. When I got home I inspected the roof and thankfully there were no tears in the membrane. I took it to our locale RV repair shop and when the job was done they informed me:

When we removed the transition strip between the front cap and the roof, the membrane was not even tucked up under the front cap the way it is supposed to be. So they pulled the membrane forward and tucked it up under the front cap and resealed the whole thing. They did a great job.

So everyone check your seals at the area between the front cap and transition strip.

Lucky it didn't crack. I guess the fiberglass roof is more flexible then I thought.

Blallen58 has a membrane roof. FR3 was switched to a fiberglass roof in 2018.

Update on my roof. I went camping about 2 weeks later and while driving back the membrane tore completely loose. It ripped from one side to the other.

I contacted Michael Humms who is on the forum, he works for Forest River and he contacted Nick with the service department. Unfortunately the roof is not covered under warranty since I am the second owner. But Nick is going to send me enough membrane to recover the entire roof. YEAH!!! Big savings.

So a BIG SHOUT OUT TO Michael and Nick at Forest River for there customer service. This saves me almost 1000 dollars.
