FR3 Shower Door

I said I'd update when it was done and here is our new shower door.

When researching the FR3, one of the most common complaints of owners was water leaking around the curtain while showering. We have the same problem. Our solution was a glass shower door - like a more upscale coach. Thought you might want to see. It works really well. Don't have any other pictures as the coach is now in winter storage. Sorry, but I think the photo will come in sideways. My apologies for my lack of technical know-how.

Where did you get the door. Was it difficult to install?

Very nice job spicy. I too would like to know if the door you used was special made or off the shelf. Can you give us sizes, etc.? I'm unfortunately not the best handyman so if you could give us, on a scale of 1-10 (10 being easiest) how hard it was to install. Thanks!

It's a Vista Pivot II door. Can't remember, but I think it was 36". You can get them at Home Depot and I imagine most home improvement stores. They come in a variety of metal colors and glass texture. Installation is with small screws (don't know the length, my install used shorter screws than come with door kit to ensure they didn't screw into the sliding door), screw anchors and caulk. Not too tough, just don't want screws so long as to go into the sliding doors! It has a magnetic seal (we'll see if that works when on the road or if I have to install something more substantial to keep the door shut). Here's the installation guide: http://www.sterlingplumbing.com/onli.../1172319_2.pdf

I imagine most people can complete it in a couple hours.

I just went to Lowe's web site and it's $378. Seems like a great idea but, so far, mine hasn't leaked more than just a few drops. I'll save my money for the Bose surround sound.

Surround Sound

Mandoholic, let me know what you do for the Bose system. I'm thinking about their three speaker system - Sub next to the driver seat and speakers mounted on the cabinets to each side of the TV. If you do a setup that's in any way similar, post what you do.

I won't get around to this until at least March, when we pull our FR3 out of storage, but I'll post photos of that install throughout the process if someone hasn't done so first.
