FR3 Windshield Cleaning

The windshield is huge and I tried using RainX windshield cleaner with no success. Too much streaking and fogging up. Any suggestion of a good product to clean the windshield with? Also, what about windshield washer fluid? I currently use RainX to clean the love bugs when they hit. I appreciate your time and suggestions.

Being so huge of an area, i quickly found out that is did not matter what you used as a cleaner it will always need some form of cleaning, I decided to go the route of a concentrate where I make my own cleaner to save money.
What causes me grief is the haze that drips off the roof and covers the glass, takes elbow grease to get that off with a good sponge/brush

The trick is to remove the bugs fairly soon. If they stay on, especially on a hot sunny day, it takes more effort to remove. I used a brush similar to this one even with just straight water if they didn’t set up too long. Then follow with a good squeegee to clear the glass.

I never tried any magical windshield fluid. Sometimes, if the windshield was messy with bugs and such.....if I was fortunate enough to drive into rain, I could just leave the wipers off for awhile, to soften the bugs before using the wipers. Even with the flat windshield of my Georgetown, at speed, the rain would blow off to the sides on it’s own. Seriously.

With respect to the haze you talk about.....as with my Georgetown, I used this stuff, and nothing else, to get rid of the rooftop haze.

I use invisiglass also, it's available all over the place (Walmart, auto stores, Homedepot.....) I keep a can in each car also and use the gas station paper towels instead of their disgusting squeegees.

Good Bye RainX and Hello Invisible Glass Aerosol. This product is awesome. It was so easy to clean the windshield and windows, with no streaks and shines. Thank you for the suggestion and sharing this info. I can see again.
