Check the oil level and keep your gasoline tank topped off. We discovered that our gen will simply quit if the oil level or fuel level drops. Good luck.

Sounds like a fuel pump issue. They are reasonably easy to replace, The aftermarket version from Airtek is about 1/2 the cost of the Onan version.

While your at it, may as well replace the fuel filter and, spark plug, and air filter. I just did all this on mine:

ALSO

You may consider adding vents to your generator compartment cover. These will help when driving and also stationery.

my 2016 FR3 30DS does the same thing, Saw that the 2017 model now has a vent with a boot inside to let air into the generator. FR probably made the change due to over heating. I will be installing a vent in my Gen door.
