Grey water doesn’t drain

But the trouble I am having now and since the motorhome was New is my grey water doesn’t drain...I think it’s plugged with a round from them drilling and making an opening...put a new valve on but didn’t help...don’t know how to get it out of there...seems to float away and then relocates causing me grief...great quality control

that is a bummer... need a nice flashlight and a long thin grabber tool of some sort, and some extra patience to fish that thing out I suppose...
good luck

If you want to look inside to see what's going on, try a USB endoscope or borescope. My buddy was chasing down a black tank clogging problem on his Pursuit and bought a scope for 20 bucks. He used it to re-aim his black flush and solved the problem, says it's the best $20 he ever spent.

There isn’t enough space in a thread’s title field to describe the entire issue. The site team has put a corrected title in the title field.

Now we're going to ask, what does replacing the check valve on the water pump have to do with the gray water not draining? We need the rest of the story.

See post #5 and then read the grey water drain issue in post 1.

Had same problem a while back. Decided to fix it when I got home. Drained fine after four hour trip home. When I pulled the handle a big plug of corn, rice and other vegetable matter came out.

I think the problem is that the drain is only 1 1/2 inch pipe and the gate valve smaller yet and stuff settles around there and plugs it up. Happened once again and I tapped around gate with wrench and sure enough big plug of vegetable matter again.

We have since purchased sink strainers and clean plates with paper towel before washing and havn’t had a recurrence for four months. You may have a cutout blocking the drain but give my cure a shot.

Any chance you could remove the valve/drain and use a wet/dry vac to apply suction as you run water slowly into the tank? The vac might be able to make a strong enough connection to the stray piece that you could grab it with needle-nosed pliers.

Might work.

Put some water in the grey tank, extend the passenger side jacks (don't extend the driver side jacks) a ways to get all the grey tank water to the drain side. Open the drain and see if the disk has settled into the drain.
