Has anyone installed powered vent fans in a 32ds?
I want to replace my vents with powered ones (Maxxfan Deluxe) and was wondering if anyone DIY'd one. I am pretty handy and don't really want to pay $$$$ to get it done.
It looks to be a fairly easy project IF the wiring is up there and accessible. I read a post from February 2018 which mentioned flashing inside the bathroom vent prevented them from seeing up into the ceiling, but the thread ended without the OP writing if the project was completed.
Thanks!

In our 2015 28Ds all vents had 12VDC right there for upgrades to fans. Easy as pie

My 2018 FR3 28DS also had 12v power to all four vents. I have four Fan-Tastic Fans & vent covers.

I replaced vent fans in bath and living area of my 17 32DS, i purchased fans through camping world website and the local CW installed as I am not DIY persons when it comes to electricity, after getting shocked several times and starting to stutter, I thought it best to have them installed. one in bath is 2 speed with light and the other one is multiple speed with rain sensor. Both work great.

Done it. Very easy as long as you don't mind getting up on the roof. Did the Maxx fan X2. And it is only 12 volts so there is no shock hazard.

You are going to like the MaxxFan Deluxe's.
I replaced one of my factory installed MaxxFans with a Deluxe (for height considerations) and we like it way much better than the factory MaxxFan.
Not only a much lower profile when closed but better air flow, better control and more options.

Wow, as a newbie to this forum, I'm impressed with the fast (and knowledgeable) responses.
I will order the fans today and post pics of the install.

The hardest job is cleaning all the old sealant off . But the must important job you want a good clean surface for the new sealant . Other then that not a lot of work

I replaced the non-powered fan in the living room with a MaxAir and a FanMate cover. I replaced the vent in the bedroom with a second A/C unit.
The link below shows how I removed the vent.
http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...al-166034.html
I used LPS1 or WD40, followed by denatured alcohol, to clean the sealant off of the roof before installing the new vent.
Not a bad DIY project if the wiring is already there.

I put in two Vortex II fans in my 2018 32 DS. Wires were there and all can be done from inside without having to climb on the roof.
