Same was true for me in 2018

My choice was between the FR3 and the 270S. The FR3 won on most accounts (50% more storage, liked layout better, …). I would have purchased one, but the red line was the membrane roof. That is a no-no with me! The 270 was also 2 feet shorter. The 2' extra would have been limiting on most of my excursions. There is no 1 right answer, each must chose what is right for them.

Bought my 2015 30DS in May of 2014. Absolutely no regrets even with all the past problems. Wouldn't trade it for chalk or marbles.
