How long does the installation of a combo washer dryer take in a 2019 FR3 30DS?

That depends on whether the RV already has water supply lines, drain line, electric service and dryer vent already in place. If it does have all this ready, installing the unit itself shouldn't take more than an hour or two. If it does NOT have all that, easily a full day job.

Thanks, the unit is prepped for the washer/dryer combo. The only thing it would need is the vent installed and the unit put in place. The service center quoted an hourly rate but couldn’t give me an estimated amount of time without looking at the unit.

I see it as a pretty straight forward installation, but they weren’t sure how difficult it would be to get the washer/dryer in place. Was just curious as to whether anyone installed the w/d in an FR3 30DS and whether they took the appliance through the entry door or had to take it through the rear emergency window to get it in the bedroom closet.

Our motorhome came with the Splendide Washer Dryer which we removed and sold. The unit weighs around 150 lbs, so it will take two people to carry it up the entry stairs, into the bedroom, and to lift it up into the cabinet.

Levering it out of the cabinet was a chore because the space is tight for four hands and the cabinet face forms a lip that you need to avoid damaging. I imagine it will be a chore going in the other direction, also.

It took us about an hour to remove it and carry it out the entry door. Experienced professionals could likely do that part quicker. But, they still need to install a wall vent, connect up the hoses before shoving it into the cabinet, and bolt it down to keep it from shifting. I wouldn't be surprised if they quoted you four hours.

You may be able to save a little bit of money if you remove the two cabinet doors yourself and then reinstall them when the workers are done.

Just ordered the w/d combo from them today and have a service appointment scheduled for May 17th with them to do some other work along with the install. Will update you on how long it takes them then. Thanks again!

What are the dimensions of the cabinet in a 2021 30ds? Trying to figure out what combo w/d to get. Looking at Equator EZ4400. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

Our FR3 is a 2019, not sure if dimensions would be the same as the 2021 model. We went with the Splendide as it was the type Forest River would have installed
