Just Ordered an FR3
My wife and I just ordered our first RV, a 2014 FR3. It should arrive in early October. We are really excited to hit the road!

Up to Massachusetts to visit relatives. About 500 miles round trip. The foliage should be spectacular.

Congrats to both of you. We just happened to get really lucky when we were researching we decided on the FR3 and it still happen to be there was only one in the entire state. We love ours and sure you will like yours as well.

Congrats new owners. We have 5 trips in so far, and the coach has been great.

We are picking up a 2015 fr3 on Thursday, one thing I noticed was the lack of a storage box in the first door by the entrance. Is that supposed to be open to the ground? We are very excited to get on the road with it.

Just a thought but if your ordering a unit to be built it will be a 2015 not a 2014. I have a 2015 30DS and have not had any serious issues so far. At this point I would not recommend a 2014 for several reasons unless there is a very good pricing reason to do so. The 14's had some teething issues and a running list of modifications to get to their current level. Fully loaded 2015 30DS's can be had for 75K

Congrats on your FR3. We also own a '14 30DS and are very happy with it.
The first door by the entrance door is your battery area. It's that way on all the FR3's.

We bought our 2014 FR3 30DS in April and have taken one long and 3 shorter trips thus far. All has gone well so far and I hooe it continues that way. We're heading out from our Ohio home to journey down the Natchez Trace in 2 weeks.

Took a trip to Pigeon Forge Tn. for our first trip. Coach handled great. Loved the king sizes bed and the all around comfort of the furniture and set up. We made a very big mistake when WWE first looked at rv's we bought a Thor 24sa because the wife liked the size. Well it lasted about two trips and closed in on us. long story short we lost our a-- when we traded it in on the fr3. But now that we made our first trip I am sooooo glad we did it. I know every one has an opinion as to quality of workmanship so here is mine. First off the drivers area in the Thor was much classier, but the over all coach quality was junk. We had warped cabinet doors and the hinges kept coming lose. used a lot of tooth picks and glue to fill screw holes. The bed was so tall my wife needed a stool to get out of it. I would highly recommend this for first time and veteran RV buyers. Again just my opinion.

I didn't realize that this sounded like the fr3 was a bad quality unit. I was referring to the Thor we bought. The fr3 has been trouble free so far. I haven't had to tighten one thing on it. I will admit I miss 18 mpg. But the comfort makes it worth while. The fr3 is what I would recommend for a first time purchaser.
