Lighter fuses

Can someone tell me where the fuses for the lighters are? I have a 2015 fr3. I looked through the diagrams that came with it and they don't seem to be right.

The lighters are coach builder add ons so look for a non-ford fuse box under the drivers side dash. Also checked for chaffed/cut/shorted wires under there as well. Sloppy electrical is an Elkhart trademark.

For anyone with the same problem. I found the fuse is attached to the wire behind the lighter.

I have the same problem - no power at both dash power ports. Replaced the fuse in the panel (cigar lighter feed - 22 ) above the engine but no change. Will check for a fuse behind the ports tomorrow. Thanks!

Lighter fuses

There is a fuse box on the firewall in the battery compartment that has the dash 12v fuses... My folks FR3 had one go out a few weeks ago...

My understanding is that the dash 12v (lighters) are on the chassis battery in the engine compartment.. The rest of the coach 12V are on a separate 12v system than the dash 12V (lighters)

Awwh 10-4 on that. I only know of the 12v outlet that by the door up high. Are there any more in the coach?

Wink mentioned there is fuse on the firewall. I wouldn't be able to reach that without removing the drivers seat. I'm too big to get around the steering wheel and doghouse. But in my 2014 Ds30 there are separate in line blade fuse holders connected to the cig lighters directly. Mine are 7.5 amp. I know because I tapped that line to add power to my TST monitor and blew the fuse.

So they may be double fused, one just behind the receptacle and another at the fire wall fuse panel.

They are 7.5 amp in-line fuses directly behind the plugs. Tough to get to or photograph.

Under dash photo. Replaced blown fuse with 5 amp for now until I can get the correct 7.5 amp. Wires are orange / white. Click image for larger version

2007 Georgetown 340TS w/ same issue

Just an FYI for everyone as I had the same issue, with my 12V/lighter outlet, Map Lights and Radio going out just as I was de-winterizing my rig . I bought a 12v tester and dug in thinking that the same issue with field mice that had affected a few other people at our storage facility. Turns out (thanks to the forums advice) it was actually a blown 20A fuse in the fuse block on the firewall in the streetside corner. I removed the cover, and started pulling the fuses one-by-one until I found one that was blown. Flipping another 20A fuse into the vacated spot and the radio and lights came right back on.

WHile I was under there, I added a second pair of 12v outlets that I put under the dash, next to the driver window, so I could place my GPS and mobile in a better position instead of in the only spot on the dash console (which I always hit with my knees...).

Hope this helps other folks out!

Kudos to you for reaching thAt fuse box. You must be a nibble and thin guy. Last fall when my back up lights stopped working I discovered that fuse box and I have to say that's got to be the WORST location I've ever seen. With the dog house bump in the way and the drivers seat all the way back I was nearly able to get in there with a meter and a flashlight !

I tapped into the power in the hydraulic panel to add a cell phone booster and charger that sits on the left side of the dash.
