Welcome to the Dalton Highway.
It is 85.1 miles north of Fairbanks, Alaska. We turned around at the Dalton Highway sign. It was far enough north for me.

KOA Miles City Montana, the white stuff on the ground are Cottonwood fronds. Looks like snow.

Stupid question; I noticed your stairs are out and the door is closed. I have not figured out that trick yet. will you share your secret?

You should have a step switch located where your awning in/out switch and awning light switch is. Ours is next to the step, but your's may be different due to year and model difference.

Hi, I actually added a circuit that allows locking the stairs up or down, as long as the emergency brake is set. When I park, and level, I normally lock the stairs down.
If I should goof and try to drive away with the stairs locked down, the minute I disengage the parking brake the stairs retract. It also allows me to lock the stairs up when there isn’t enough clearance to completely deploy them, it is a pet peeve of mine when the stairs try to lower and jam against an obstacle.

KOA Las Vegas NM, I passed a couple FR3s while I was heading south on 25 leaving Denver yesterday (7/09), both of them were northbound. It is unusual that it is rare to see FR3s. I had zero problems maintaining the speed limit on the Raton Pass, though I’m not pulling a toad. Best regards to all.

Julia Pfieffer Burns State Park, Big Sur, CA. Have camped here many a time in tents and a pop-up trailer, but first time taking on Highway 1 in a motorhome. Little bit scary, but so worth it.

A couple days later we boondocked on a pullout near Cantwell, Alaska. You can see the fresh snow on the Talkeetna Mountains. We call it termination dust. It means I will have to winterize soon.

I want to do one or two more trips, yet.

Fri 28 the Northern Lights are going to be out. I plan to be away from the city lights to see them.
