questions on fantastic fan

Could someone tell me if you can install the fantastic fan or any other type of vent fan inside of the permanent vents. I have the permanent type of vents that can stay open in bad weather, however I would like to install some type of fan in all three vents with a thermostat. Can this be done inside of these vents? All replies are appreciated.

By permanent vents, I assume you mean the vent covers? If so, yes you can. You most likely will need to remove the whole unit, install the fan, then reinstall the cover. If you a re lucky, the wiring might be in place already. FR pre wired all of the openings in my sunseeker. It's a fairly simple job as long as you don't mind getting on the roof.

Old crank up vent comes completely off, new Fantastic fan assy goes in place of. As stated ... not hard to do, just lotsa screws on roof under the sealant around the perimeter of the vent housing.

Plan on it taking about 2 hrs to do the job, that's if the wires are there and you have everything need like buel tape, self leveling chalk, fully charge screw driver, sturdy scraper, and a solvent to prep the surface before installs new vent.

Regular vent covers won't allow the Fantastic Fans to open very much. Fantastic Fan makes their own vent covers that allow the cover to open more and provide more circulation.

Just installed the Fantastic vent cover. Took 15 minutes and very easy. Vent works great. Cost a bit more, but worth it IMO.
