Radio/DVD dead

2015 FR3 30DS. Pioneer AVH-X3600BHS Head Unit.

Driving through Arizona listening via blue-tooth, the radio made a snapping sound and went dead. Screen is blank, so no cameras. At the next gas stop I reached behind it to wiggle around for loose connections and it came alive showing a debug screen then it died again. Now it's dead as a door nail. I pulled the dash cover and didn't see any fuses on the back of the unit or in the line feeds. I looked at the fuses in passenger compartment driver's side box and none appear blown. I pushed the pen tip reset on the unit, nothing. All the other rocker switches (shade, led lights) work. The light on the radio rocker works when the vehicle lights are turned on.

Has anyone dealt with this? Didn't see anything in search. Is there is a dumb solution I'm missing or should I put a new head unit in the budget. I need it for the backup camera.

I finally found in the manual that there is a fuse on the Pioneer underneath the wiring harness. I pulled the harness off, pulled and tested the fuse, but it was good. Put everything back together and the @#$% thing worked! Something must have worked loose over the course of three seasons, 22,000 miles.

The funny part is I missed the fuse while poring over the manual several times. I accidentally opened it to the Spanish part and saw Fusible (10A) on the diagram. And, I don't speak Spanish, the writing is so small I missed it in English.

Our AVH-X2700BHS gradually became more & more intermittent, until it finally died after about one year. That model is obsolete and no longer available, but I found that the AVH-X391BHS is an exact replacement, with no re-wiring required.

Just to update, the issue was the Pioneer wiring harness. When I opened the dash again, the yellow lead wire fell right out. On the internet I read that this harness is detested in the industry.

Ordered a replacement from Amazon and soldered the wires, leaving some extra play in them. Everything has been working perfectly through two trips.

My refrigerator light will not turn on. Replaced bulb with one purchased at camper supply store. What next? It does have good contact on pointed ends.

If it doesn't turn off its likely the switch. Could also be the switch in your case
