Question Rear marker lights

Our FR3 is in storage, so I can't check this out for myself right now. Can anyone tell me if the small red 'marker lights' along the top of the rear surface also function as brake lights and turn signals, or are they just always-on lights?

I'm asking because I would like to put a cover over our bikes on the hitch-mount rack, but that would obscure the taillights.

Thanks!

Clearance lights (marker lights), are not wired to be brake lights or turn signals. They are designed to constantly illuminate when either the parking lights or headlights are activated.
