Dear Forest River Customer:Attachment 193830
This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act (US) and the Motor Vehicle Safety Act (Canada). Forest River Office of Corporate Compliance (OCC) has decided that a defect, which relates to the motor vehicle safety, exists in certain 2017 2019 Georgetown, 2017 2019 - FR3, 2018 2019 Berkshire, and 2018 Charleston Class A Motorhome recreational vehicles.
WHAT IS THE DEFECT/NONCOMPLIANCE?
The motorized windshield roller shade located at the drivers designated seating position could potentially unroll itself without warning and lower while the vehicle is in motion.

I had a front shade issue with my 2019 30DS while bringing it home from the dealer. Stopped for the night, put the shade down no problem.
Next morning, the shade went up about 1/3 of the way, then fell to the dash. Tried again, and it went about 2/3 of the way before falling all the way to the dash. Then I rolled it up by hand, and . . . it crashed to the dash
Tried once more, and it stayed up.
I continued home, 350 miles, just waiting for it to fall as I drove. Thankfully, it stayed up. Notified the dealer, who said they would have FR ship me a new shade, but it never arrived. Tried calling them a couple more times and gave up.
Now, searched by VIN, and FR says 'no recalls'!
