ROKU or Firestick in Outside TV - 2021 30DS

How do you operate the outside TV using either a ROKU or Firestick? From what I can see, the TV is flat mounted without access to the USB input ports. Am I missing something here? The 2 TVs inside flip up for easy access but not outside.

The outside TV is probably held by a Paw mount

You can get HDMI 90 degree adapters that allow you to install a ROKU where it does not stick out but stays parallel to the TV. All of my 12v tellys have one of their three HDMI ports in a sideways location.

What he said.
All the ports on my TV(s) are parallel with the back rather than 90deg sticking straight out the back.

Have you taken your TV down and had a good look at the back?

That’s the issue. I’m trying to figure out how to get it down. If I do that I will simply plug in an extender cord and have easy access for the ROKU when needed.

Have you tried lifting your TV to see if it's a similar mount?

Yes, but I’ll try again.

If your mount is similar to mine, there are two screws access from the bottom with a long screwdriver. A mirror and flashlight shining from the bottom will tell you if it is there.

Hold the TV at each bottom corner and rock it back and forth while FIRMLY pulling up.

PS: Most campgrounds I have been in have the wireless internet set to do counter measures to prevent those type devices from working.
but it should work off your phone hotspot.

Permanently mounted external TV? I'd have expected it to be removal for travel.

The pair of right angle adapters looks nice as the ports go opposite and are likely to allow both ports to be used.

On the FR3, the outside TV is mounted behind a weatherproof hatch cover.

Yep, worked it off off the pin and slot holders. Tight fit. I installed an HDMI/ HDMI extension cord that is coiled under the TV. I can now plug in my ROKU when needed. Thanks everyone for your help. I’m sure I’ll have more questions.

Roku has the ability to work around those barriers. Fire TV and AppleTV…not so much.

You can install a VPN on Fire TV as it uses an Android OS. I don't believe you can install one on Roku. You can use a work around with a router or your phone but Fire TV is easier.

The barriers are there for a reason....so everyone else paying the campground doesn't have to wait 10 minutes for a page to load. No one in a park should be using Roku type devices except using their own cell hospot. . Unless the campground says you can ...which accounts for about 1%of parks

Relax…using a Hot Spot because most campsite WiFi sucks anyway.

Good...and now we ALL know why the wifi in parks sucks...and it ain't because of weak signal strength...it's cause someone other than you and I sucked all the water our of the hose we all paid for!
