RV cover

Just sent my 2017 FR3 off for a week at the "spa" before we start fall camping.. Remove the chalk, and a good wax polish job. Oil change and a couple minor repairs. When the RV comes home I'd like to get it under a cover. I'm in Florida so the sun is brutal on almost everything left outside.

Any suggestions for covers to get or to avoid? Looking at this one right now.

Moved thread from the Dollars and Cents sub-forum to the FR3 sub-forum for better help from other FR3 owners.

RV Cover

I have used this cover, available on Amazon, https://www.amazon.com/Xenjum-RV-Wea...hlbWF0aWM&th=1

I have had it for a year in Florida and it has gone through one hurricane. The cover did not come off in the winds.
I am starting to see wear at some of the RV corner locations and figure I will get two years out of it so about $130/year to cover. The cost of covered storage would be much more than that cost.

Been through a few covers for our trailer, they don't last long. I just got an Eevelle Goldline and am impressed with how heavy duty the material is, it's no comparison to the other covers I've had. The down side is it's heavy. I kept it in my cart on Amazon for a long time, the price fluctuated from 700 down to 230, so I waited and bought low.

If you have room a metal carport is the only cover I can recommend. You pay for one after you buy several covers. and repair rubs from the covers.

I don't know that a "waterproof" cover is a good idea for Florida with that kind of humidity. The RV has to breathe. Any amount of condensation trapped under the cover will surely promote mold and mildew. Even here in Alaska with winter humidity at 20% or less it will cause mildew unless the cover can breathe,

I live in SoCal, so we also have intense sun, and strong Santa Ana winds.

I first bought an ADCO Designer cover, which lasted 3 years.

I next tried an Eevelle Goldline, and like Trailerdude, I was impressed with the heavy-duty fabric. However it also only lasted 3 years. With the 5-year warranty, they gave me a pro-rated credit for a replacement, which lasted another 3 years. But the warranty only applies to the first one, not the replacement.

I figured that if they're only going to last 3 years, why pay more for a 5-year warranty? So I next bought the Eevelle S2 Expedition model with a 3-year warranty. But it only lasted 6 months! This time, they gave me a free replacement, which is currently 8 months old. Fingers crossed.

On my 2nd Adco cover. First one lasted 7 years, was still serviceable, on my 2nd one now - Designer series - and it is 6 going on 7 years old and I plan on using it this winter.

Plenty of vents on both sides

Must pad any sharp corners or edges and adjust the multitude of straps per the instructions. Any wear throughs must be repaired asap per the instructions

We get blizzards, heavy ice and snow. Usually cover November through February
