Slide Out Issue

I have a 2005 28DS. When I retract the Main Slide the motor sounds very bogged down. It will actually stop. After letting it sit for a few minutes it then has enough juice to complete the job. It's almost as if the battery is low. Does anyone know which of the two coach batteries powers the slide? It goes out fine, but must require more juice when it is pulled in. Thanks for your help.

is the trailer hooked up to either and tow vehicle or shore power when this bogging happens? If it is not hooked to the TV or shore power it sounds like your house batteries are low on power.

I have a 2017 28DS. My manual says to only run the slides in and out when either hooked up to shore power or to have the generator running.States the house batteries do not have enough amperage for the motor to work correctly.

If you reproduce this while on shore power, cables might not be properly aligned and must be adjusted before you strip the gears in the motor.

Thanks

Thanks...I didn't realize you should only put the slides out with Generator running or on shore power. I will give it a shot. I'm wondering as well if there may be an inline fuse blown somewhere. There are several fuses around my battery bank. I'm going to start checking those individually as well. Thanks all.
