Slide won't go out

Have a 15 wildcat 31SAX that the bedroom (wardrobe) slide won't go out on.... one side goes, but then when the other side won't, it stops. Seems like a bad motor or something. I tried the manual option where I unplug both motors at the controller and push, but its still locked and doesn't budge at all. HELP!!! I want to get my camper opened up for the season!! Anyone have any advice?? I'd REALLY appreciate it!!!

It sounds like it may be wedged in the opening try not just pushing but pulling one side or the other to free it up in the opening. Then engage the motors and close hold the control for about 3 to 5 seconds after the slide stops moving to sync the motors see if this works. good luck

Sea dog... there's no budging it at all... I've tried... should I try that with the motors unplugged?

Schwintek motors are "gear reduction" motors necessary to multiply enough torque to move the slide. They are very difficult to turn even if you had one out in your hand. Unplugging the motors from the control box will only remove the electric brake function. You will still need 2 - 4 people to help manually overcome the gear resistance and push the slide out. Once the slide is out, you can remove the motor from the outside & inspect it for any wires that may have broken or become unsoldered.

Check out this video. This girl has done it all while RV'ing by herself.

it hasn't been leveled this year but sits on a seasonal site and hasn't moved since I put the slide in last year. So if it's not completely level it's not far off at all

See if you have a reset for your slide stops. We had a problem after we tried to slide with low batteries, one side would not slide. We found out how to reset the slide stops on a utube video
