Solar Panel Mounting Fiberglass Advice

I have another*project that I am about to embark on and I am wondering if I could get your opinion/advice. I have a 2019 FR3 33DS
I am about*to install a solar panel to the roof. Dealer previously installed panels, but will not provide the detail on what type of screws & process they used. They are installed okay I just dont know how they installed.

Before just start screwing stainless steel screws to the roof, was wondering if any of you FR3 owners performed this and would share your advice.

Screw Type (SS i assume), what length or size?
Did you use something else?
Did you try to find a metal support to drill into?
I will use lots of sealant..

There are very active solar RV groups on Facebook - sorry, I don’t have solar.

Thanks, Ive decided to pay a local RV Solar Installer $100. Seems as if they wanted the business. Typically they would not touch just the install of panel they wanted the whole solar project. Lucky me.

I had a local RV customizer install mine. I asked him to get the front solar brackets of the front solars panel on a cross rib. The rest of solar bracket did not have to be on a cross rib.

I started with six solar panels. I had them leave room to walk on the roof for maintenance.

With six panels I would see an average of 300 watts of power during the day here in Alaska. I am to old to go on the roof to tilt the panels for more wattage.

Mid-day Sun for Alaska

Last year I upgraded to ten panels. I have two pairs of 10 awg solar grade cables coming from the roof to the MPPT Solar Charge controller.

Good luck your solar install. I am happy with mine. They give me the freedom to boondock.

More info is in the 'Solar Power & Battle Born batteries' link in my sig below.
