Summitt Tv

We have sound but no screen it is black! Just bought the FR3.
Really don't want to bring unit into a repair place to sit for weeks at a time. Suggestions please.

Call the TV manufacturer tech line and they can run you through some diagnostics. Or contact them via chat/email from their site.

Did you check to see if the tv’s input is set to what you think you are watching?
I’m new to this, too. So that may not be any help…but it’s what I would check first.

Did you get a manual for that TV? That might give you the answer.

Just a couple of thoughts.... Do you have the antenna on? Does the remote control give you any options if you press menu?

I would recommend giving our service department here at Forest River. Please call 574-206-7600 and have your VIN number in front of you. They will be able to walk you through the steps to help correct this.

If it turns out that the TV is defective, you may want to consider asking for a credit and then purchasing one from a big-box store. Our unit came with a Connexion brand, which worked fine, but it didn’t allow screen-mirring from a tablet nor did it have any apps built in. For a few hundred dollars we replaced it with Samsung smart TV and gifted our old TV to another RVer. We’re much happier.

Note: It did require raising the TV mount and buying mounting bolts. But if you are comfortable with a drill, it’s a piece of cake to do.
