Themetic Toilet sensors mounted on wrong tank

Three days ago, my Thetford toilet wouldn’t flush and there was a red light appearing below the two flush buttons. This is the toilet with a macerator that is located in what we jokingly refer to as the "guest bath".

The manual says that if the red light is on, it means that the waste tank was full and, as a precaution, it wouldn’t flush until the tank levels dropped. This was odd because the black water tank wasn’t indicating it was full.

I went outside, dumped the black water and checked the toilet panel. It still glowed red. I was beginning to think the sensor went bad.

On a hunch, I checked my gray water tank and it was full. So, I began dumping the gray water and went inside to look at the toilet panel. It went from red, to yellow, and then to green.

I'm reaching out to FR for a warranty another repair.

Your steps in trouble shooting have paid off. It should be an easy fix depending on where the wires for this space age toilet are routed good job.
