Which Viair compressor are you looking at? There are several models with various specifications/capabilities.

i have the rv400p and i use it to take my tire pressure up to 110psi. i think it has a duty cycle of something like 15 to 20 minutes and then it must cool off. there is a rv450p model which goes to the same pressure and has a continuous duty cycle. the rv400p works just fine for us.

Optimal tire pressure is whatever the manufacturer stamps on the sidewall of the tire in my opinion.

Gotcha. I've known of people who think that is only a MAX on the side of the tire, and if they have less than a full load, perhaps they should deflate some.
Happy travels!!

Here's a picture of the data sheet posted next to the drivers seat in my 2016 30DS. It specifically shows 82 PSI COLD.

Welcome to the forum!
We recently purchase the Viair 450P RV and love it. It's a little pricey but will last for generations.
Whatever air pump you get, it's a wise choice. Finding and getting access to air at fuel stops can be pretty difficult.

My Viair 400 takes my Jeep tires from 15-18 psi back up to 33 like it’s nothing. It trips me out, it’s such a little machine. Haven’t used it on my FR3 yet, but I have no doubt it will do the job.
