Washer/Dryer space

What brand and model washer/dryer is in the 30DS (as an option)?

If we forgo the optional washer/dryer, would a stackable unit (separate washer and dryer) fit in the same closet space?

Thanks, Val.

Our 2020 FR3 30DS has a Splendide 2100 vented washer/dryer combo. I don’t think there is enough vertical space in the closet to fit a stackable unit.

Thanks for the info. The Splendide 2100 got pretty good reviews but I heard it can take a while for clothes to dry...that's why I was asking if a stacked unit might fit.

I does take a while to dry clothing. Since the loads are small, my wife has a routine she follows and gets things going in the morning so the wash is finished by noon. You too will come up with a routine that suits your needs.

We bought a small yet nice looking rack from Amazon we place it near he RV out of the way as when we need to use it.
We are conscious of those places that frown on setting up clothes drying lines or string them from trees. We let the items dry then take the rack down. Actually faster than the dryer from what I can see. (when you have sun)

Thanks good to know we very rarely camp with full hook-ups right now. When we do I suppose we should take full advantage and test this Splendide out!
We have a trip in June/July Oregon 8 days with full hook-ups. We'll break it in then!
Been since 2018 and never turned it on or remove the plastic. it was a toss in (free) when we purchased our RV. Thought it was a good idea for the future when and If we retire and go full time.

Ours was also a preconfigured option when we bought our mh. Given all the caveats (small loads, lots of water consumption, long dry times), we just didn’t see the benefit. So we removed it and sold it for almost what we paid for it. We installed a wine fridge in its place and find that much more useful.

I also installed a shelf above the wine fridge and installed a couple of plastic storage drawers for clothing. Being tall, I find it much easier to pull items out from the upper cabinet than from the cabinets below the fridge.

We use ours for a family of 4. We found that we ran a load of laundry overnight- it rocked us to sleep OR gave us some mommy/daddy cover.

And then we'd run 1-3 loads during the day, depending on what all needed done or how far behind we were on laundry.

My little load combo washer/dryer is one thing I miss about RV life. Being back in a house and having full size appliances.. laundry feels like work again!
