Are you sure there's water in the fresh water tank? I'm asking because we just camped this weekend. I filled the freshwater tank at the campground, then headed to site. Water was coming out of siphon all teh way back to our site and stopped draining shortly after I got setup. Not sure how much siphoned out, but we made it 3 days with what was left.

Uhhhhhh....for sure there’s lots of water in the onboard tank?

If not.....you run the risk of burning out the pump motor.

Has it worked before? How long ago?

1st trip of year and selector at pump inlet still in the winterize a/f fill position? Check valve in city water inlet connector leaking/ pulling air? Is there at least a cap/plug on city water connection which should rule out check valve?

A few things I would check to get to the root cause....

First thing I would do is take the water supply line to the pump off (the one ruining from your tank to the pump) and see if I could suck some water out of it... If so you can eliminate that part of the system...

If that checks out next step is pull the water line coming out of the pump off start the pump and see if it's pumping water. If not and the pump runs then check out the pump itself. If it's like most you have pump diaphragms (they are little rubber plungers) that could have something fouling them or they could be shot. In either case either clear them out or note the pump model and order replacements daiphrams.

Here's a video for you which shows you some other troubleshooting routines.

If it does pump water, then your issue is downline somewhere.

Could be your by pass vales turned the wrong way when you winterised it or perhaps your low point drains are open and the water is pumping out of them.

Hope this helps.

Well if the pump runs but won’t pump water its the diaphragms so clean them out or replace them its an easy job.

I also have an inline inlet screen before the pump in my trailer. I would make sure that the screen is cleaned and free of debris. This will un-screw and than you can clean the screen. This is one of the first items I clean when de-winterizing the trailer for the season.

Just as a check, disconnect the output line and run the pump. Maybe it just lost its prime.
