Wheel Bearing Packs

I know that they say to repack wheel bearings annually, but, is that based on a specific number of miles put on the vehicle or just what? Reason that I ask is that my RV is a 2015 but has less than 4000 miles on it so I wondered if I needed to get my wheel bearings repacked each year? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
