Evo Toy Hauler

I know there are many more travel trailer Evo’s owners on here than Toy Hauler Evo’s, but I have a question. I’ll be attempting to load my 30’ Evo for the first time in Sept with my Polaris General XP (2 seater). It’s supposed to be 64” wide, but pushes 65” to be honest. The trailer advertises and measurements confirm it has 67” of space for the width of the side by side. This width goes to the handles of the kitchen cabinet, and it appears that the opposite wheels will be on the raised area above the wheel well, which I believe are made for this, allowing it to be pitched to avoid the above cabinets on that wall.

If any owners that have these or similar can give advice/suggestions of any loading tips I would appreciate it. I plan on attempting to back it in first, and likely crawl out the passenger side maybe on the kitchen counter if need be.

Thanks

Just wondering what the cargo limit is for the garage area? All toy haulers have limits for this area that is less than the total cargo capacity.

The UTV is over 1800 lb with fuel.

Thanks for asking. Yes the side x side is about 1800 lbs loaded. I only have another 1,000 lbs for additional cargo. I travel with empty tanks, except a bit in the black tank. There is nothing listed for cargo area weight capacities. The axles are rated for 3,900 each, so I donít expect a problem there, even though I wish they were a bit more. I already updated the tires from ďDĒ to ďEĒ since I wanted the 10 ply and GY Endurance.

My side x side is at my cabin right now with me, so I havenít been able to load it in the trailer yet. Thatís why I am asking for any loading tips with this trailer.

In the past FR placed a sticker on the wall with the weight for the garage area.

My only advice would be to get as much of the weight / engine over the axle if possible. Also check the straps every hour of travel. The load will stretch the ratchet straps and the load will move.

Ratchet straps rated for the load is a must.

I guess I would be concerned with too much weight towards the back. This could create a unsafe ride on the highway. Some people call it a wiggle wagon.

Yes, I agree. Plan on backing in if possible so the heavier rear is over or just in front of the axles. Iíll load it up and go to the scales to dial it in. I knew I was going to be close on some weight specs regarding the trailer and truck. Sold my one ton a year ago not thinking I would ever have another trailer, but here we are. So I put much research in what I could buy, and this was our best option that still had what we wanted inside.
