I Did a Bad Thing

I did a bad thing yesterday. I looked at the 2016 model year of my 2015 trailer and I liked the little changes made to the floor, counters, and front end. My wife says, "NO" so I guess I'll just admire and dream.

You do realize don't you, that you could make those " 2016 upgraded" changes to your 2015 for a fraction of the cost of trading your unit in for a 2016? Floor, counters, etc, are not budget busters IMHO!

PS-you have great tastes in trucks")

My mistake was in July when we went to our local dealer to setup an awning replacement due to me being an idiot. On the lot, we walked into a 2016 Rockwood Windjammr 3029W with the diamond package and many other options and that solved my awning problem.

My problem is I don't have a wife to stop me. Called my daughter once, she told me I am single ad retired so do it. THEN she said to sell the house and take off. A damn lot of help she was!

My best bet, DON'T LOOK!

Nomad297......I did the same thing. I even bought a 5th wheel receiver in prep of the 5er we were going to get. The salesman said......"Let me show you one trailer." I said,,,,"No, we want a 5er,,,," He said,,,,"Just take a look. " """OK""",,,,We stepped into the biggest living room I've ever seen in a trailer.....a Windjammer 3029W.... We thought we were in a 5er......I'm sitting in it now as I type. Know whatcha mean, Jellie Bean.

There is a reason my dh has outlawed me from rv shows.... the reason is sitting in my driveway right now. A similar reason has outlawed my dh from car shows. He just drove his reason to Lowe's.

We bought our mildly used TT from a local dealer for 25% less than new wholesaler prices. The previous owners probably took a 40+% hit on trade-in, so IMO it doesn't make sense to trade-in just to receive a newer version of the same model/floor plan. HOWEVER, if you have a serious lemon or want a different floor plan / size, then it's just a matter of what your budget can handle.

In our case we looked at new & used units of the same brand/model in heavy rains. The new unit was leaking water badly & whereas our used unit was bone-dry. I also thought our pre-RV boom built unit had better over-all fit & finish. We've camped for 2 summers without any repair issues so IMO we made the right choice to buy the older RV. This alone prevents me from wanting to upgrade too quickly...

A little over 2 years ago, when we had our Roo 23SS in for an A/C replacement, after I was finished talking to the service manager, I walked outside and called my DW to see where she may be on the lot. When I asked, "Where are you?", she replied, "Looking at our next trailer!"
Got the Roo back after new A/C, put it up for sale and bought the unit the DW was looking at.
I don't argue with her. She even tells me to buy tools I need. She's a keeper!

Hum, could be fun. Got to get my prosthetic for my left leg first though. Got to learn to walk before running! With all three would have to be able to run or one would catch me and kill me!

Then again a new trailer would be cheaper.

Got anyone in mind?

Bruce, I understand. We needed new tires for our very comfortable 2010 Rockwood UltraLight when we saw the Windjammer. We had to see that new floorplan and loved all the new features and room. the ironic part is I still had to buy new tires since I wanted to go up a load range.
