Angry Possible Generator Scam Alert

In a previous thread I told of purchasing a Yamaha 2000 Generator at a unbelievable price for $689. Folks it may be a scam I did some research this morning and found that their website has been suspended. They have not answered any of my emails. Which made me suspect that something was not right. Come to find out the Issaquah, Wa address is a House for sale and not a business. Pay Pal is investigating in their resolution center. I also found out that it is a Chinese Person in China. I guess that is why they use DHL if in fact they do ship me a generator. They pretended to be in the USA doing business in Issaquah, Wa USA. I know better and should have checked the address out before ordering. I hope to get the Generator or my money back from Paypal. I will keep the forum posted on how it turns out.

"at a unbelievable price"

When something sounds too good to be true, that's usually exactly what it is - too good to be true.

I hope you can get your $$ back.

You may get your generator only to find out it's a Chinese Counterfeit, that is if it makes it through Customs without being seized. My neighbor is a BCE Agent at Ted Stevens International Airport in Anchorage. They are fully aware of these knock-off generators of both the Yamaha and Honda product lines.

If you used a credit card to pay you should have recourse. I hope it works out.

I too had a seller try to scam me by never shipping the $1500 plotter I purchased. I paid with PayPal and used a Credit Card.

When PayPal failed to get my money back for me I contacted my Credit Card company and they gave my money back in 24 hours. They took the money back from PayPal and put it back into my account.

If I were you I would immediately contact the credit card company and file a claim for FRAUD. In my opinion it is the very best chance you will have of getting your money back.

I did use a Credit card and they have been good about things like this. Pay Pal upgraded my Dispute to a claim as soon as I went to their resolution center. They have given the person who got the money until Jan 5th to respond. If it is not resolved by then I will contact my credit card company which I have to wait 30 days anyway in case I receive the Item ordered. It is fraud because the seller was giving a house that was for sale in the USA as a business address. His website has been suspended I suspect because of complaints and fraud. Any way I will keep the forum posted.

I saw this same website a few days ago and saw a similar one as well and figured it was a scam with the price so low.

PayPal is pretty good in getting your money back. I have had to use it a couple of times. Good luck.

It is sad when life gets to this point. I got scammed a couple years ago on an expensive jacket for the DD... Luckily the bank(debit card) made it easy to get my money back.

Good luck to you..

DW bought some knock off boots on the internet (didn't know it at the time) but figured it out a day later. Of course she used my credit card...I provided the suspended URL to the credit card company and they refunded the money right away. Credit card said to return anything shipped. I did get the boots via USPS and just wrote return to sender and dropped them at the post office.

Exclamation Same scammers

It is the same scammers. I did a WHO IS and it is located in China. The address in Ma is a Construction vacant lot. Do a google maps and street view. Kimberly Clark is at that address. The wording on the website is the same as the one that scammed me. Notice no phone number or email and the only payment is Pay Pal. I would think that PayPal would wise up by now.

Got My Money Back in Generator Scam

Today I got a Email from PayPal stating that they have ruled in my Favor, and said that I am getting my Money Back for the Generator that I never received. Here is a Partial Copy of the Email that I received. Also note that I had alerted my credit card company who had already credited my account until this matter was resolved. I am glad that the matter was resolved and that PayPal did in fact credit me the amount that I paid. I have used them for years and never had a problem. I also only pay online with a credit card. even when going through PayPal. Never use a bank account. Most Credit card companies have an agreement, that if merchandise is not received, they will credit your account and bill the party who took the credit card. This also applies to misrepresentation of a product and a broken product.
