USB /12V Charge Ports

I'm looking for assistance in replacing the USB/12V charge ports in my 2016 Forest River EVO T2550.
Has anyone upgraded theirs or
replaces with OEM ones and if so
where did the locate the OEMs.

OEM charge ports suck. Buy the BluSea USB ones that are high current output. Skip all the generic ones on Amazon. I don't have a single thing anymore that plugs int a cig lighter receptacle so I don't even have one in my trailer.

Thank You Babock
Exactly the answer I was hoping for.
I didn't understand why there would be a 12v socket in the first place, then was reminded of the dual usb plugs for the cars that use them.
Now for a secondary question of removing and replacement with out damaging the wall?

These are the ones I use. If yours currently has a plate already, just keep the plate and put these in the holes where the old outlets were.

Fine until you aren't on shorepower or have 120VAC. Use the ones that run off 12VDC and they work ALL the time.

USB /12V Charge Ports

I used this one with no issues just pulled out the defective usb unit and dropped this in. Gives me state of charge to let me know when I need to recharge batteries.

Hardest part is getting the bezel off the charging station to get at the screws.

I just installed this today: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08837F4JK

I've used other generic USB chargers and 12V ports from Amazon in the past with no problem. I have a definite use for the 12V ports, as do many other CPAP users. Also, I can use a 12V DC to USB C adapter to charge my laptop. That would be more efficient than an inverter.

I have used this one in 3 places because it has an on/off switch to prevent battery drain when not used.

I don't use those cheap Amazon USB ports. Did that mistake once and never again. BluSea has quality stuff.

I have a separate switch I installed(Also BlueSea) to turn off power. Also powers off radio.

It's available as 3.0A from a different vendor. It looks like the same product.

Can I ask what happened that you don’t recommend them?

It completely failed and had no power output. Worked for a couple months.

I love the BlueSea quality. Besides my travel trailer I own a couple boats and they have a lot of BlueSea products on them too. Definitely worth the extra dollars.

I really like those BlueSea USB outlets. They look good the way you installed them. I like the idea of the switch also. I may look into having one separate for the radio and another for the USB outlets. I think I would still keep one or two of the 12v outlets. You can still get appliances that use 12v that are pretty handy when you are on the road and do not have access to shore power.
With the way that people are buying RV's because of COVID-19, and the increasingly limited campground spaces, you may find yourself camping with the Truckers!!
Hey! You never know!!!
