Black/Gray tank sewer hose access

I'm curious if anyone else has the sewer hose access port offset from the Y connection on the coach?

I was looking at changing to the waste master system with Cam lock connectors, but it doesn't look like I could make it work with the offset opening. I have to use a 45 degree elbow to get it to work with my Rhino hose now.

Just wondering if this is a manufacturing defect on my coach or if the offset is intentional?

Thanks,
Jonathan

Well that is a crazy looking setup (not saying its wrong, just wierd). If it is not going to work my guess is you either need to cut the pipe and fix it so it lines up or maybe make your 45 adapter be the start of the waste master system.

or you could cut a 10" hole instead of the factory 6" hole, like Thor did for ours...
it's NICE to have much more room to move your hose around in, much easier hookup...
don't know why all the factories don't make them 10"

My connection was slightly out of alignment with the access hole. It was not as bad as yours, but nonetheless, I could not connect my sewer hose or a 45 degree adapter. The dealer realigned the connector under warranty and it works great now.

Had the same problem with my legacy, I assumed it was a manufacturer defect that was special for my unit. I was not quick enough to take it back to dealer for correction. Now I just complain about it.

I guess I'm in the same boat.

Not an answer to your question, but I will say I work the honey dipper crew at our county fair where we service over 500 units. Run into a lot of those primarily on motorhomes.

I would suspect the hole is smaller for rodent control. Sewer hose is a major pathway for mice to gain access to your RV while camping.

I am guessing if you are going to have a 10" opening,,, you need a 10" plug !!!

Looks like quality workmanship,,,
NOT !!!

We have the same set up and find it perfect for clear elbow attachment. Helps monitor the coming out part of the black tank.

Our 2015 360RB has a similar issue, but much less pronounced. Just a bit off center between the outlet and the opening. No reason for it that I can see tiger than FR's QC processes failing....again.
