Generator and inverter

Having a couple issues with the generator. Every time I use it it stalls after running 10 minutes or so. The led flashes 3 times .( Service required). Only has 125 hrs on it and a fresh oil change. Seems after the 3rd time it stays running. And the inverter.over charging warning is coming on also. Showed 80 amps for a minute then seems to level out. Anyone else have this issue? 2015 360. Thanks

Thanks for the reply. Ran everything again tonight and everything seems good! Maybe lack of use . Going to NASCAR this weekend so that will be the real test

So that adds hours to the generator. What are you guys doing about servicing the generator? Have it checked at what? 100 hours? 200 hours?

Generator engines are like any engine, they need to be run to preform the best.

ONAN for the HGJAA, HGJAB, HBJAC typical 5.5 or 7.0 gensets recommends exercising the generator at least 1 hour per month if used infrequently. This drives off moisture, re-lubricates the engine, replaces stale fuel in the fuel lines and carburetor and removes oxides from the electrical contacts and generator slip rings. The results are a better starting, more reliable operation and longer engine life.

ONAN recommends checking the engine oil every 8 hours, clean the spark arrestor every 50 hours, change the engine oil, oil filter, air filter every 150 hours or once a year and replace the spark plugs and fuel filter every 500 hours.

I discovered the issue. When the generator power turns on in the charger/inverter the amps spike to over 150 amps and it shuts off the generator. I have to make sure the charger is off when I start the generator and then turn on charger 15 minutes later then no issues. Not sure how to figure out why it spikes the amps
