Girard Generation III water heater.

I upgraded our Girard water heater to the Gen III unit a few months back. Up in the Canadian Rockies right now near Banff and we have been on the road for a month. Went through 100+ desert temps. with very warm incoming water, and currently in 40 degree nights and very cold water.
The verdict so far is great. Very happy I made the change. The new unit maintains what ever temperature we set it and the output temp is constant and steady. I really like having an LCD screen to see exactly what is going on with the heater, no guessing.

Mind me asking what the price was for the replacement unit? My wife hates the unit we have in our Legacy right now.. It's like riding a wave of hot and cold. Myself, I don't really care as I could take a cold shower - But you know how it goes keeping the boss happy.

Was about $395 for the unit, I did all the work myself. On another Legacy thread "on demand water heater" I posted all the details, costs, etc. Was not a bad job even painting the heater door.
