Mine is a buckled due to my air bags that did not fully inflate and my flap was resting against the muffler. Bad solenoid. I have no issues with rubbing.

Wow that looks nice. I will be anxious to hear if it helps with rock damage to your toad.

I finally broke down and bought and had installed a SaniCon macerator. Tired of the stinky slinky.

That install looks great but I need to ask a dumb question. Not saying it's not needed, but I just don't know what you gain from having the macerator like this. It's nice, But I don't understand what it would do for me. Can someone enlighten me? Thanks.

A couple advantages:

• Ability to pump uphill or long distances.
  • Up to 26' above the pump or I think 150'.
• Closed system
  • The nozzle has a cap and the contents of the system stay in the hose unlike the stinky slinky.

So do you empty your tanks into your sewer at home? The ability to do that would be my main draw. Would also be good, I guess, if I was camped close to the dump station and didn't have sewer at the site. Thanks for the info. Enjoy!

I have one of these and like it so much I've transferred it from and to the last two "campers" we've owned.
--It has been used to pump into my home septic.
--Around a broken down rig parked at a dump station.
--Less of a trip hazard on the left side of the rig.
--More parking options at the less than ideal/level camp spot.
--As stated, pump up hill.
--Stows neater and easier and cleaner.
--A little known feature is transfer between full gray into less full black tank.

Yep, it is going into my new "camper" soon. There are a few models so read the functionality of each before getting one if your thinking this route.

I haven't used it yet, but I will here in about a week or so. I bought this because I had to park at a campsite recently and the drain was uphill. Complete nightmare! Took so long for me to drain it and I had to maneuver the hose with contents inside to try to get the hose to drain. That's when I decided not to have this problem again. I can't control the drain, but I can control how I get it to it.

Correct, I have a 1" PVC line that runs from my RV port to my septic system. O my intention is to install a Sani-con and use that to macerate and pump the waste to the septic system.

Regarding the last feature, was that accomplished by pumping into the toilet after routing the hose through a window or something similar? That is a feature I had not thought of.

Looking forward to some feedback on it... Only thing I was concerned about was the 15 minute continuous usage. See this website and the quote from about 3/4 of the way down the page in the "Pump Precautions" section.

RV Sani-Con: Installation Information for our RV Parts and Accessories

"The dc motor is suitable only for intermittent duty; do not run the pump for more than 15 minutes continuously"

If we have 44 gallons of black and 44 gallons of grey in Legacy, that should equate to 88 gallons and approximately 9 minutes of run time assuming completely full tanks and the "up to" 10 gal/min.

Aeroshots, can you comment on this, have you ever had any issues with the duty cycle of the pump? Have you run it over 15 min? What's the longest run you've done? The highest elevation change?

O - no, nothing like that. Assuming gray and black tanks are close to level with each other (past campers were ) the head pressure from full gray tank will provide flow into less full black tank.
1. Open gray valve
2. Open black valve
3. Listen for fluid flow
4. When flow stops, close black then gray valves.
The hoses stay connected with the permanent mounted system.

Never any duty cycle issue. I've run it for a good 15 minutes several times. 3 feet elevation change as a guess.
Keep in mind that the head pressure from each tank will be helpful to the motor. I pulled it out of the last camper a year ago, but as I can remember it has a bypass of sorts that let's the gray water flow without using the pump.
