Trickle charge while storing my 2018 Legacy

I store my 2018 legacy in a garage and plug the rig into a 20amp outlet. I keep everything off excluding the refrigerator and the microwave clock. After two weeks of storage, I went to start the motorhome and got a battery low indication once it started the coach. I thought trickle charging in storage was supposed to keep batteries happy? Am I doing something wrong to have the batteries discharge in storage? The motorhome is only a few months old. Thanks
Jeff

I have a 2015 legacy and store the same way, plugged in with everything off inside. I get the low battery warning when starting the engine after it has sat a while. The warning comes up in the driver display, and the indication is for the starting batteries. My conclusion is that plunging it on only maintains the house batteries. The engine batteries are not on the charging circuit. My coach cycles the low battery indication on and off for the first few minutes after starting, and then it clears and everything works normally.

Thank you! I understand now why there is a switch in the cockpit to use the house batteries to start the vehicle if needed!

I believe what you’re see is the intake air heaters cycling when the engine first starts up.
