Wheel Chocks

Anyone carry or use wheel Chocks? I have a set left over from previous RV that I've been carrying around but have never used. Been thinking about not carrying them to save space.

Most are only needed in a "Emergency Situation" or to assure your unit will Not roll! Your choice, sure beats "Firewood or Rocks"! Youroo!!

I bring them but only have a single axle on our pop up. I carry two sets. But they are the plastic ones that weight next to nothing. They do a great job on the ground, grass, dirt, etc. but not the best on pavement. I agree. They beat firewood.

Yes I always used Chocks when I had a travel trailer, but can't decide now that I have a Class A motor home.

Yes

I made a pair out of wood, should prob get a pair out of plastic for weight. I have used them several times. On a site that is not too leavel, and there a lot they keep the trailer from rolling when I unhook. Prob not needed for a motor home.

They chock 53 ft trailers at loading docks. Say chock before you drop. If you are using auto level and for some reason the front wheels are off the ground a couple chocks are good insurance IMHO. We used them on a straight truck used for a TV mobile, just was something you did.

Keep them. If you don't use them, you will always find a newbie who wasn't told he needs them and can always borrow. Met a camper on his virgin run that was re hitching to truck cause he said when kids were playing his unit would move. Here- use these. Dealer didn't tell me I needed them.

I carry a single large rubber aviation style chock and have only used it one time and it was in Freightliner parking lot on a bit of a hill. I threw it under the tire just in case.

I keep it on the shelf I made in def bay with two spare jugs of def.
