Hello from West Texas

My husband and I also pre-ordered a 19' butternut yellow/white 1961 Shasta Airflyte reissue. Hoping to be able to take delivery sometime in mid to late spring 2015.

Congratulations West Texas

Congratulations Lisa! Have you 'named' your RV, or will you be waiting till Springtime for that?

If it helps, we call ours "the trailer".

We found a yard flag that has "it's 5 O'clock Now" which pretty much sums vacation time, so like Alex says we will probably go with that. Although until she's here we really won't know. Everyone parked in our driveway has a name, some we know right away who they want to be others, well we just have to wait on them to give us a clue. lol

Hello from West Texas

Karlspace we have a 19' Butternut on order. We are from Texas as well and we'll have to meet up and compare. Just pack a lunch, afternoon snack, and dinner cause we're from North Texas, home of the Eagles

Ha! We didn't actually name our trailer anything and we won't... but I've heard my wife say, "Would you take this stack of towels out to 'the trailer'?'".

So you must live around Denton - not to highjack the OP's thread. I lived in Highland Village for 17+ years... in Lake Dallas for 6+... was a dealer trade drive for James Wood's GM dealership... bought my Wildcat between Sanger and Valley View.

yeah, our's is still The Trailer, too. Until we get the driveway leveled so we can put it in the back yard, it's parked at the local KOA. But we feel we must go 'visit' it at least every other day. (just to enjoy the new car smell ;-)

West is on I-35 15 miles north of Waco and while going to town we counted at least a dozen snowbirds heading south, mostly Montana and Minnesota so far. I like to wave at all of them

I guess this is the Texas gang. I'm looking to head south in late January to Texas area and looking for a good place to start out. How far south in January/Febuary do I need to go to have decent weather? I was looking at Grapevine area for campgrounds or should I go further south? We're leaving Upper Michigan with tons of snow and cold, so anything will look good.

Elind our coldest weather here is usually January, we are looking for a bad winter this year but it would feel like spring to you. Grapevine is a neat place to visit, the weather should be fine.

Thanks, we might start out at Grapevine and play it by ear after that. Last year we had a lot of below 0 temps and over 300 inches of snow. So if we find 40-60 degree weather thats spring to us.
