20118 304h Bunkhouse heat

IS there SUPPOSED to be heat in the bunk room? Seems the heater Under the bunk support produces decent heat throughout the camper, but unless the bunk room door is open, no heat can get in there. There is no vent in the bunk room in the floor for the heat? The heater itself has the wooden louvers on it, but no heat comes out that, it does radiate heat out after the furnace turns off. Just curious!

It sounds to me that the wooden louver you are talking about is the furnace return air and the design (no floor vents in BH) was setup to get warmth in that space from the returning conditioned air. So to get the most warmth possible you would have to leave the door open.

This is my thoughts too. Poor setup, but I suppose it will work O.k the few times we will use it in the cold. I just wanted to make sure everything is correct! Thanks!

Mine has a 13.5 A/C unit that has the heat dials on it. When I am hunting I just leave the door open for whoever sleeps back there. Gets plenty warm for them without turning that on and just running the main furnace off of the battery. Our deer camp is primitive so we cannot run the generator at nights
