2014 grey wolf 26dbh television size

We just purchased a 26dbh and absolutely love it. I do have a question for other grey wolf owners about what tv to get. I bought a 32" Visio and either the mounting bracket on the wall is too low or the placement for the bracket on the tv is too high. It seems that even if I get a smaller tv, I will still have the same problem. The mounting bracket in the trailer is made by paw international and it is the type where the tv side onto the bracket. Any suggestions? Thanks!

are 26dbh came with a 24" insignia LED. fits fine. It looks to me like there would be lots of room to mount a 32" up there. I was actually planning on putting a bigger tv up. I think how mounting brackets mount to the back of TV's are fairly standard so moving the wall bracket up should work. I can post a pic of our tv mounted in the trailer if you want?

Thanks for the reply. Would you mind posting a pic or seeing how high the bracket is on the wall?

Thanks for the pic. I think my wall bracket was just placed to low. I guess I'll just move it up a few inches. Is the place for your bracket on the tv close to the top?

TV Mods 26DBH

I added a 29" Emerson TV. I ordered an additional tv PAW mount and mounted the one on the wall a retractable bracket (so i could clear the upper cabinet). That way the TV can be removed for transit and can be brought out side as needed. The smaller TV that came with the trailer is used in the bedroom only. I also did the rewire mod I found on this site. I then mounted my satellite receiver in the cubby hole below the TV. All of the mods were super easy and took about an hour to complete.

I have been thinking of trying something like this for our Sat box. The ledge looks like a rats nest of wires and cables when all hooked up. There had to be a better way to do this... Just saying!

I bought a bigger TV for my own 2013 26dbh also, and the bracket was the same story... but think this through 1st before moving your bracket! It's a flimsy cheap plastic bracket and the wall studs are barely 2X2's... if you want a bigger and heavier TV, you should just stand it on it's feet and lay it on the bed to travel... if you mount a heavier TV on the cheap plastic brackets that are screwed into flimsy 2X2 wall studs... hit a big bump and it may all tear out. I just keep the little original TV up while travelling and lay the replacement bigger one on its face on the bed to avoid that. It would sure suck to arrive for some R&R and open up the camper door to find it all tore down during a trip.

Maybe I'm just overcautious, but better safe than sorry.

i purchased a bracket from amazon (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1). i mounted the supplied bracket from my camper and then this bracket by flipping it over so there is room for the nuts on back side and using longer screws to mount it to my 32 inch tv,. your tv needs side plugs. i was able to slide it onto the bracket in my camper about 3/4 the way down before the tv sits on the shelf. this way the tv cannot fall off or over. i would never travel with it up there but it is easy to move. it also was easy to take outside and slide completely on the outside bracket. this worked for me. sorry cant seem to get a picture uploaded

Update on perfect television size

Just got my 2017 26dbh. Delivered from Ohio for $16900 plus $1100 delivery fee.

The available space for the television in the entertainment center from top to bottom is 24". I bought a 40" Sony Bravia at Walmart and had to lower the bracket on the wall 2.75".

How does the supplied bracket that comes with the 2017 26dbh mount to the TV. We just also purchased the same camper and are going to get a TV this weekend and looking at the back of one of our TV's I don't see how it would mount. Any photo's of one mounted would be highly appreciated.

Rolled the dice....

The bolt pattern of the bracket that comes with the Grey Wold is 100mm x 100mm. The bigger televisions have a 200mm x 200mm bolt pattern.

I used short, course threaded screws and screwed into the plastic of the back of the television. I just hoped I didn't hit anything vital and turns out I didn't. You may want to select your television based on how hollow the back panel is.

You did roll the dice... No way would I trust a 40" television staying mounted going down the road with coarse thread screws simply inserted into the plastic back. Not sure I would trust it even if it was stationary and not being bounced up and down the highway.

As you probably know... the bolt mounting pattern coinsides with reinforcement at those locations.

Best of luck.

Thanks for the info. I will look at the back of the TV's and maybe bring the bracket with me to make sure it will mount to it.

bought an adapter on amazon for a few bucks... Much safer than screwing into the plastic.

Had this same model camper. We wanted a bigger tv, but knowing the stated size of tv (32", 40", etc) did not help. Turned out that out of 10 brands of, say, 39" tv's, some would fit and some were too big. So we had to read the exact measurements of the entire tv BOX, not just the picture size. We finally found a Phillips 39" as the biggest one that would fit.

We got an articulating arm, and took off the factory mount. We put that arm on, and drilled 3 holes and bolted it on, right through that wall.

When traveling, we'd wrap a towel around the tv, and put a ratchet strap all the way around the tv and the wall, and carefully ratchet it down.

Worked for us.
