Does anyone know why the grey wolf models don't have tub surrounds?

Was told by a forest river rep they spray a coating on the walls around the tub for waterproofing. To save cost I would imagine.

Some do, like my 2017 26DBH. However, the other 26DBH on the lot (campers kit which includes exterior fridge and stove) did not have the surround. That same model had the rock faux wall at the entertainment system. I asked the dealer why the trailer with more "extras" lacked the tub surround. They didn't even know it didn't include a surround until I pointed it out. They checked a few other models and it was the same way. Check around, I'm sure you can find one. I wasn't going to get a trailer without a surround.

Mine does not and it does not leak. Wall paper seems to be coated in something.

2017 27DBS here, has all the extras and outside fridge and stove with the tub surround. All the ones with no extras did not have the tub surrounds.

I noticed that they spray a clear rubber formula on some models. Was at Camping World yesterday trying to buy a TV mount. The one that comes from Forest River. They don't carry it. I also looked at some new Cherokees. It's kinda funny how no 2 are quite the same.

How long have you had it? No problems with water damage?

2014. No damage. It has a double seal at the tub base so the water stays in the tub.

Do you have heavy usage? The coating does a good job of repelling the water from a shower? I really like the unit but am concerned that it doesnt have the surround. Suprises me because other than that it has a lot of what I would. Onsider are luxuries such as power tongue and awning and back up camera ready.

Oh yeah HEAVY usage. Over 15k towed miles and probably close to 100 (or more) nights camped up and down the east coast and west to the Mississippi.

Good to know that it has a coating. We just purchased the same model in a 2014, and I've have been almost losing sleep because of no shower surround.
